2 Second CPS Test

Two seconds: still a pure burst, but with twice the clicks of a 1-second test, so one lucky click moves your score by only 0.5 CPS.

About the 2-second test

A 2-second test is the best way to measure your true top speed. Fatigue does not kick in yet, and the result is less jumpy than the 1-second test.

Expect a score close to your 1-second result and a little above your 5-second one. Run it three times and keep the median.

Typical normal-click score at this length: 7–9 CPS.

Everyone starts a test with a burst and then settles toward a rate the forearm can hold. A 1-second test only measures the burst; a 100-second test is almost entirely the held rate. So compare scores only at the same length, and use long tests to train endurance.

Questions

What is a good score on a 2 second CPS test?

Most people land around 7–9 CPS on a 2-second test with a normal click. Jitter, butterfly and drag clicking push well above that.

How is the 2 second CPS calculated?

Total clicks divided by 2. The timer starts on your first click, so 16 clicks gives 8 CPS.

Why is my score different at other lengths?

Short tests measure your opening burst and long tests measure the rate you can sustain. Compare scores only at the same length.
