Butterfly Clicking Test
Two fingers, one button, alternating. Test your butterfly clicking speed and see how many of your taps the mouse actually counts.

How to do it
- Rest your index and middle fingers side by side on the left button.
- Tap them one after the other, like drumming, keeping each finger light.
- Keep your fingertips close to the button so each tap is short.
- Build rhythm first, speed second. Uneven taps merge into single clicks.
What the test tells you
Butterfly clicking alternates two fingers on the same button, so each finger only needs to tap at half your target rate. It is less tiring than jitter clicking and players commonly report 12 to 20 CPS.
The catch is the mouse. When the two taps land within a few milliseconds of each other, the debounce window treats them as one click. That is why the same player can score very differently on two mice, and why some servers treat mice with very short debounce times with suspicion.
